Hello! My name is Michał and I am a student at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. My journey into the world of innovation and startups began a few years ago when curiosity turned into a passion.

The Roweromate Lesson

My friend and I decided to build our first startup, Roweromate – a network of public bike garages designed to prevent theft. We were inexperienced, the project struggled to meet its bottom line, and eventually, it failed. However, that failure was my most valuable classroom. It taught me the brutal, real-world mechanics of business that no textbook could ever cover.

In the Trenches

Since then, I have become a regular participant in innovation marathons and hackathons – events especially popular in Poland, where teams have only a few hours to build a fresh, innovative solution from scratch. I fell in love with the energy and the grind of the startup ecosystem.

Why FoundersTracker?

I am well aware of how difficult it is to break into the Venture Capital industry. To get there, I decided to start acting like a scout today.

FoundersTracker is a platform I founded to share my analytical thoughts on startups from Poland and the CEE region, with a special focus on the vibrant ecosystem of Kraków, where I live and study.

I don’t just track companies; I look for the stories and economics behind them.
